We are excited to announce that our film Life Growing Up made for UK children's HIV charity CHIVA , has been selected for the 2019 Global Health Film Festival . It will take place on Friday 06 and Saturday 07 December, in Bloomsbury, central London, bringing together 500 health advocates, filmmakers, journalists and the public for discussion and debate in all areas of global health.

Participating and facilitating (storytelling and voice embodiment work) at Oceantree's Time Out for Time In retreat was a real treat! Their retreats create the time, space and energy to dive deep into your development. They facilitate your connection to what matters most to you and to make a positive impact in the world. The ancient wisdom we find in stories in this context is inspirational, and creates a fantastic framework for enquiry.

I have been working for many months on this very moving short film Life Growing Up and it launches today for World AIDS Day 2018 . Based on the true stories of young people in the UK born with HIV and developed from a live spoken word/ storytelling performance, it was commissioned by the Children's HIV Association, CHIVA.

We premiered our storytelling/spoken piece "Life Growing Up" which shares the experiences of young people living with HIV, at the worlds largest health conference; AIDS2018 in Amsterdam. Tuesday 24th July, 16.30, Main Stage of the Global Village . This performance is open to the public. Reading poems written by young people from CHIVA; The Childrens HIV Charity at the press launch of the CHERUB garden at the Chelsea flower show. Designed to bring attention to the experiences faced by young people growing up with HIV and the research that is being done in the UK by CHERUB (a collaboration of researchers) to find a cure for HIV. Due to stigma, the young people themselves felt unable to perform their own poems, so we were honoured to read for them.

This week we are taking part in a week long workshop with young people, exploring their experiences of growing up with HIV through spoken word, music, poetry and drama. The longer term aim is to create a live storytelling performance and film based on the true stories collected from young people living in the UK who have grown up with HIV. This is a project for CHIVA; The Childrens HIV Association in collaboration with Turtle Keys Arts.
