“Sarah Sutcliffe steals the show

with a compelling performance”

Kate Stratton in Time Out

I have toured internationally with the composer Max Richter for the last 10 years, narrating The Blue Notebooks. I have also recorded voice on his albums Woolf Works and Memoryhouse and performed Voices.

I’ve been telling, adapting and recording traditional stories for many years and perform at storytelling events and festivals. I co-wrote and performed in “The Tale That Wags The Dog”- a storytelling show for adults with both traditional and contemporary stories which played at The Purcell Rooms, South Bank Centre, The Lyric Hammersmith, The Plymouth Theatre Royal, and internationally. I also write and record songs.

I trained as an actor at Central School of Speech and Drama in London and then worked for several years with the David Glass Ensemble, touring all over the world and developing my physical/visual theatre skills. I have gone on to work in a great variety of productions in theatre, TV, film and radio, from period drama to TV soaps, from Shakespeare to storytelling shows.
